  1. The quote was Clintonesque…if not for a bit of timeline issue…perhaps Bill was channeling Adlai

    Love it! Actually, I think it likely that Clinton would have known the Adlai Stevenson quote. He did after all run for US President on behalf of Clinton’s party, albeit against Eisenhower, so before Clinton was politically aware. However, the quote is quite well known and probably percolated his subconscious at the very least!
